Fourth of July weekend is coming soon! How will you be celebrating? We’ve compiled a list of events, parades and fireworks to catch all around Oahu – from family-friendly events to elegant dinner cruises, and more, we’ve got you covered here at John Riggins Real Estate!

Fireworks on Oahu

Kailua 4th Of July Fireworks Display Friday July 4, 2014  |  8:00-9:00 p.m. Sponsored by Kailua Fireworks, the event is expected to have 10,000+ participants. Show will be off Kailua Beach Park. Parking will be restricted on various streets for emergency vehicle clearance. Various traffic controls will be instituted by HPD at end of fireworks show. Ala Moana 4th of July Fireworks Display Friday July 4, 2014  |  8:30-8:50 p.m. Sponsored by Ala Moana Shopping Center/General Growth. The event is expected to have 30,000+ participants. Show will be off Magic Island, Ala Moana Beach Park. Vehicles will be prohibited in Ala Moana Park from 10 pm Tuesday, 7/3 until 4 am Wednesday, 7/4. Various traffic controls will be instituted by HPD at end of fireworks show. Aloha Tower Marketplace Thursday July 3, 2014   | 8:30 p.m. Fourth of July celebrations start a day early at Aloha Tower for a family-friendly pau hana celebration of food, music and fireworks. Turtle Bay Resort Friday July 4, 2014  |  8:30 p.m. Turtle Bay Resort is hosting an Independence Day celebration of epic proportions with an all-weekend lineup of family-friendly activities, entertainment, and fireworks. The resort’s Fourth of July celebration is open to the public and will include food booths, prize giveaways and live music from Kapena and more. 4th of July Spectacular – Schofield Barracks Friday July 4, 2014  |  8:30 p.m. The 4th of July Spectacular is a day packed with fun and events for the whole family beginning at 10:00 a.m. The fireworks display will begin at 8:30 p.m. from the commissary parking lot. The 4th of July event is open to the Department of Defense ID cardholders and their guests. Pearl Harbor-Hickam Friday July 4, 2014  |  9:00 p.m. The 4th of July celebration returns to Pearl Harbor-Hickam! The free event begins at 3:30 p.m. and will feature fun for the whole family, including a petting zoo, train ride, inflatables and a concert by rock band 3 Doors Down. The concert begins at 7:30 and the fireworks display will start at 9:00 p.m. This celebration is open to military only. Battleship Missouri Memorial Friday July 4, 2014  |  9:00 p.m. Take the family out for a picnic on the pier at the Battleship Missouri Memorial! Bring your own food and beverages for the 6:00 p.m. picnic (no glass or grills allowed) and stick around for the 9:00 p.m. fireworks. $10 adults, $5 children (4-12) and free to members.

4th of July Parades on Oahu

Kailua 4th of July Independence Day Parade Friday July 4, 2014  |  10:00 a.m. to Noon Sponsored by Kailua Chamber of Commerce. The event will have 200 marchers, 40 vehicles, 40 floats, and four bands. It starts at Kainalu Dr./Omao St., to Kainalu Drive, and ends at Kailua Intermediate School. Family Day Parade (God’s Ohana Day Parade) Saturday July 5, 2014  |  9:00-11:00 a.m. Sponsored by Prayer Center of the Pacific. The event will have 500 marchers, 50 vehicles, 7 floats, & 2 bands. It will start at Kalakaua Ave/Fort DeRussy/Saratoga Rd., to Kalakaua Ave., to end at Queen Kapiolani Park.

Family Friendly Events on Oahu

Turtle Bay Resort Turtle Bay Resort is hosting an Independence Day celebration of epic proportions with an all-weekend lineup of family-friendly activities, entertainment, and fireworks. The resort’s Fourth of July celebration is open to the public and will include food booths, prize giveaways and live music from Kapena and more. 4th of July Spectacular – Schofield Barracks Come to the 43rd annual 4th of July Spectacular and enjoy a fun filled day for the whole family, a FREE concert featuring Third Eye Blind and the most Spectacular fireworks finale in Hawaii. The 4th of July event starts at 10:00 a.m. and is open to the Department of Defense ID cardholders and their guests. Pearl Harbor-Hickam The 4th of July celebration returns to Pearl Harbor-Hickam! Da Hui Paddle Race Bring a picnic to Waimea Bay and watch the 500+ paddlers cross the finish line of the Da Hui Paddle Race! Lifeguards will host free keiki races and events on the beach. Ala Moana Center This 15-minute show at Ala Moana Center is one of the largest in the country. Accompanied by a soundtrack, the fireworks show will begin at 8:30 p.m. The public is encouraged to sit on the Ewa Parking Deck by 4:00 for the best viewing of the show. There will be a concert at 5:00 pm on the deck with entertainment at Centerstage at 3:00 p.m. 13th Annual Freedom Run The 2014 Freedom Run will be held on Friday July 4, 2014 at Kailua High School at 7a.m. Let’s rally together to increase epilepsy awareness and raise money to continue our fight for seizure freedom. All proceeds collected from the event go towards programs and services of Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii.

4th of July Party Spots on Oahu

Ryan started building his businesses at the age of 18, and he hasn't stopped since. He is a successful Real Estate Agent and Investor. He not only has rehabbed properties, but also holds properties as rentals. Ryan has made money by building his real estate investment business, learning on his own, and finding mentors willing to share their knowledge with him. Ryan is a true Entrepreneur. When Ryan Riggins found himself making a change to Real Estate in 2006, he looked back to his first open house at the age of seven with his Mentor/Broker and father John Riggins. In 2006 Ryan was living in Ohio, he realized it was time for a change. He packed up and moved to Port Lavaca, Texas. He literally rolled into town on his last tank of gas, and lived in a old burger joint, and knew he needed to come up with money to pay his Mortgage. Ryan teamed up with his father and started rehabbing Mobile Homes. Ryan kept working until he had put systems in place for all phases of the business. He has a system for finding properties, to finding contractors for remodeling Flipping and Renting. Ryan continues to works as a Realtor with his father John Riggins as his broker and Rehabbing homes, doing about 4 deals a month. This is his passion. He loves the adrenalin rush, and yes Rehabbing can be a little stressful. In fact, Ryan says: "You've got to have ice water running through your veins." In the course of Rehabbing, Ryan manages to beautify his properties, and the surrounding neighborhoods one step at a time. Ryan enjoys helping others Build Wealth through Real Estate.
